Cocktail of the Week

The Kir

This cocktail, often served as an aperitif, has very ancient origins, in fact seems to have been served by the abbot Kir in Dijon.

Despite the different variations of this cocktail, the original recipe calls for:

9/10 parts of White Wine

1/10 of Crème de Cassis (a liqueur made from black cassis produced in Dijon)

Other variants include the use of Champagne, then turning the Kir, into a Kir Royal.
