The Wedding

Here we are finally with the first article, or at least the first worthy to be called such, on marriage.
This term means “union of husband and wife,” as also the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Article 16
1. Men and women of marriageable age have the right to marry and to found a family, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
2. Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.
3. The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.

The determination of the marriage can take place in different ways according to the different cultures so generically religious or civil, but in some culture just a social definition.

Despite such here in Italy, the most widespread religion is Christianity, are recognized civil marriages also celebrated with various rituals; this since the 80 ‘it, there have been agreements between the State and the various religious congregations, such as:

Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Waldensian Church, Assemblies of God in Italy, the Union of Italian Jewish communities, Evangelical Christian Baptist Union of Italy, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy.
Depending dellle various cultures and geographical areas, there are also restrictions: in fact, in some cultures it is forbidden the marriage between consanguineous, between more people (polygamy), and often the marriage between persons of the same sex.

This type of marriage is one of the main achievements of the “militant” homosexual in response to a request by the legislation to eliminate the disparity of treatment between heterosexual unions and homosexual unions, on the assumption that homosexual intercourse is a healthy expression of sexuality and the law marriage is an inalienable right of the individual person.
Nowadays, I’m sixteen countries that have agreed to the marriage formula equalitario: The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Argentina, Uruguay, New Zealand, France, the United Kingdom, Brazil and in nineteen U.S. states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Washington, Maine, Maryland, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Minnesota, California, Illinois, Hawaii, New Mexico, Oregon and Pennsylvania, in addition to the capital Washington, DC) and in some regions of Mexico (in the capital and in Quintana Roo).
The rite of marriage, has always been considered an event of sharing, of formalization with the community: a real statement.
For the Catholic Christian Church and the Orthodox Church, marriage is considered sacred, and is in fact one of the seven sacraments.
For the Jewish religion, marriage is considered a coma the union of two families, one way to extend lareligione and Jewish cultural heritage.
Islam advises the marriage legitimized, asthe leading to mutual sodifazione sex and procreation.
Hinduism sees marriage as a sacred duty that entails social and religious obligations.
Buddhism does not encourage or discourage marriage, although it teaches that a person needs to live a happy married life.
In the Eastern world, some cultures involve the union in marriage with more individuals, often with more people means more than one wife (polygyny), in these cultures have several wives is a sign of wealth and power.
In the Muslim world, marriage is sanctioned between a man and a woman, but there are verses in the sura of the Qur’an which state that under certain conditions of extreme equanimity of a man is allowed to have up to four wives.
In Indonesia, the largest Muslim-majority state, is allowed marriage between a man and a woman who profess the same faith, while atheists are not allowed to marry.
In Imperial China was allowed the marriage only between a man and a woman, but for some higher social classes were allowed concubinage.

Matrimonio
