The annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, May 22

As presenting sponsor of the AmfAR The Foundation for AIDS Research Cinema Against AIDS 21 gala, Bulgari will donate one of its exquisite Serpenti high jewellery necklaces to benefit the cause. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will wear the piece at the gala until it is brought on stage to be auctioned for the charity. The Italian ‘serpenti’ has long been an icon of the brand and this mythical symbol of eternity and prosperity regained prominence when Elizabeth Taylor – the glamorous co-founder of amfAR and star of 1963 film Cleopatra – commissioned Bulgari to create a collection that she could wear on- and off-screen.
