The Helleborus, is part of the Ranunculaceae family, and is native to the Caucasus and Asia Minor.

The flowers have stems 10 to 30 cm and their petals are formed by small tubular formations of those yellow-green surrounded by white petals, green, yellow or purple.
The hellebore is considered a poisonous plant, especially in the period before flowering.
This compact plant grows in clumps and can reach 30 cm in height, has jagged leaves and persistent and are generally dark green.
It blooms from February to the beginning of spring, is a plant that is very resistant to cold temperatures.
L’Elleboro
L’elleboro o Helleborus, fa parte della famiglia delle Ranunculaceae, ed è originario del Caucaso e dell’Asia Minore.
Il genere delle Ranunculaceae comprende circa 30 specie, perenni, rustiche e fiori apprezzati per la loro fioritura invernale, e per la loro lunga durata una volta recisi.
I fiori hanno steli dai 10 ai 30 cm ed i loro petali sono formati da piccole formazioni tubolari di coloro giallo-verde circondati da petali bianchi, verdi, gialli o porpora.
L’elleboro è da considerare una pianta velenosa, soprattutto nel periodo prima della fioritura.
Questa pianta cresce in ciuffi compatti e può raggiungere i 30 cm di altezza, ha foglie frastagliate e persistenti e genericamente sono verde scuro.
Fiorisce da febbraio all’inizio della primavera, è una pianta che resiste bene alle temperature rigide.
